4th Captains Meeting Wild Bull Darts League 2010 Barracuda – 10th May – 6.30PM
► We are now at half way season. Unfortunately all matches haven’t been played. To get your ranking for the Handicaps all matches had to be played latest yesterday: 1º Unfortunately El Sol B had to forfeit 3 matches (against Clansman, Nauta B and Flemish Lions). El Sol B didn’t have a full team because two of their players were on holiday for 6 weeks. 2º It has been more than a month that Happy Days cancelled their match against Nauta B and still they haven’t played it. Happy Days lost this match with 8-0. Bar Heroes replaced Pig i/t Dip and they also took Pig i/t Dip’s points in the ranking. The reason why we start doing this is that teams are losing their interest if they play on a friendly base. Of course, Heroes will pay 100€ for the next season as they will then be registered as new team.Bar Heroes is situated in CC/El Chaparal, underneath the new statue/swimming pool and Italian Restaurant Totem, in Costa del Silencio. Rob, Target bar + committee member, has a new mobile phone number 603112078. Please update Heroes’ and Robs’ details in your captain’s book. There is a good chance we will get a new team joining the league. Like we discussed and decided this before this new team will play in the 2nd division against all the teams that have a bye. Their points will also count in the ranking because these are official matches. Of course all the teams of the 2nd division will be informed on time in case there is really a new team. As long as you don’t hear from me you don’t have to worry about anything. ► Trebles KO Competitions 16th May 4PM We will only draw teams per venue, matches will be drawn on the day, with each round a new draw. 1st and 2nd divisions are separate. In case of enough interest women are in a separate competition than men (but 1st and 2nd division together). Each player will pay 5€ to enter. This money will be refunded in case of presence, if a player is not present his/her money will go to the bar. 10 teams of the 1st Division and 6 teams of the 2nd division got registered, 2 venues got drawn: Suters got the 1st division and Target the 2nd division. Because only 2 ladies teams were registered we couldn’t organise a separate competition for them. Both ladies team pulled back. ► Handicaps KO Competitions In attachment you will find the final fixtures with the handicaps scores. The matches were already drawn during last meeting. The highest team in the ranking will always start the game with 501, the opposing team will start with a score equal to 501 – its handicap score (= handicap score highest team – their own handicap score). At the last meeting everybody received a table with the corresponding handicap scores. Handicap KO’s are played as on a normal Sunday: 4 singles, 4 doubles but only 1 x 701 team game. As soon as a team reaches 4 points the match is finished and the team has won. Only in case of a tie after the singles and doubles games a 701 game (with 4 players) will determine the match.In attachment you’ll find a game sheet for the handicaps comp. You can make a copy for the next matches or print it of from my website. The team who wins the finals of the Handicap Competition will enter for free in the next season. On Sundays when you don’t play Handicaps you can catch up you postponed games. ► Next Captains meeting at EL SOL B (BAR ROOD) 21st June 2010 - 6.30PM Topics of the meeting: - Doubles Killer Cricket, each division separate.
