1st Captains Meeting Wild Bull Darts League 2009-2010 Bar El Sol – 25th May – 6.30PM

► Welcome to the 1st Captains meeting of the season.As you can see this year all trophies of the season will be sponsored by MOTORWORLD. I had a decent conversation with them last week and we came to a final decision.Depending of the response from us they will decide whether it is worth while to continue sponsoring the following season(s) or not.By sponsoring activities you always expect to get something back what you have been offering, so does MOTORWORLD. Emma and Graham will explain you what services they can offer you.From the League’s point of view we can offer them publicity. My darts machines from the bars of the League will be provided with stickers and every bar is expected to put a banner up from MOTORWORLD which will be delivered and hanged up by them on a good visible spot in your bar. (Captains should inform the bar owners so they know what to expect when MOTORWORLD is hanging up their banners).For not having the same problems again with sponsors like we had in previous seasons we agreed they will transfer monthly “Trophy Money” to my bank account until the end of the season. In case they stop doing this our agreement will also be stopped and all publicity will be removed from all bars.I can only hope that both parties are happy with the cooperation but so far I’m on good terms with them. ► Approval of the league committee: Johny, Luc, Davy, Ian and Raf.During the whole season we also keep committee meetings and sometimes we make decisions in your place because it’s impossible to discus everything at the captains meetings. That’s why a good committee is very important. Of course, very important decisions will be done at the captains meetings.So far I think we have done a good job but also this year we need your approval to have this league committee.You have to know that things said and decided at meetings during the season or the committee’s decisions, these are not coming from me.If you have a problem or suggestion you can always contact me or one of the committee members. Contact nrs: Johny 659633544 Luc 686572437 Davy 664319381 Ian 696076257 Raf 696792794 ► Presentation Night.In general we were a little bit disappointed of some teams not showing up, people going home very early, etc. But with the small group that staid until the end we spend a great time thanks to Dale who did the entertainment.Also about the food I think everybody was very pleased.During one of the meetings of the season we will talk about what will be done next presentation night. ► League fund: Previous Balance: 3593€ Football Cards Team Handicap at Heritage: 40€ Football Cards Team Handicap at Target: 0€ Trophies Presentation night: - 414,60€ Drink Tickets: - 390€ Food: - 575€ Transport costs bars: - 135€ New Balance: 2118.40€ ► Registration of all teamsBecause there is still enough money left in the league fund we continue charging 50€ registration fee to the old teams but 100€ to the new teams. ► Committee Meeting’s decisions during last meeting on 6th of May: Because our league is getting bigger each season we ask you that from now on only the team captain or bar owner (or representative) will take part of the meetings. Everybody else is asked to leave this meeting. We only do this to avoid unnecessary conversation and long meetings.Problems occurred during last season: This was discussed and decided by the committee. - If a team appears to the match with only 3 players only with approval from the captain of the opponent team a fourth player (player from another team but tourists are also welcome) may come into the match. But, if the captain of the opponent team refuses no further discussion is excepted and the team in fault will lose a Single, Double and Treble game! - We also decided to keep on filling up the drawn venues for the KO Competitions until full even if at a captains meeting they weren’t completed. However, no new venues will be created. - Ladies KOs will be introduced for every KO Competition if at least 8 players are registered. Registrations are always kept during a meeting one or two weeks before when the KO competition takes place. - During the KO Competitions every next round a new draw will be done until the final. This rule is added to our League Rules as true record. - Different than last season you will only have 1 month the time to play your postponed games. If a match is not played within a month the team who cancelled the match will lose their game with 8-0. However, a few more free Sundays will be introduced (every 7-8 weeks). This allows you to play your postponed matches. - Serving food during the league matches is not obliged anymore. Of course, a bar owner is very welcome to do so. Up to the bar owner to decide. ► Start of the new season: 7th of June 2009. At the time when printing these minutes I still didn’t know how many teams would enter this year but I assumed we will introduce a 3rd division. We do this to keep the season short and have a break every 6-7 months. Because all new teams always start in the lowest division also this year it will not be different, this means that all new teams will start in the 3rd division and the 3 last teams of the 2nd div. will drop to the 3rd. However, depending of the capacity of each division we might do some changes per division. ► Starting time 4 or 5 or 6PMSome people would like the starting time changed to 5 or 6PM because of Sunday Football on the television or some for reason of their job. Some people are completely against changing the time and will probable not join the league. A vote will be done. ► Football cards KO CompetitionsA vote will be done whether we keep putting 25% of the football cards into the league fund or leave it to the bar (requested by some people). ► Next Captains meeting July 6th at Euro Bar We will discuss and draw the Lee Nolan Cup and the biggest KO competitions of the season, which are: Team Handicap and Finals. Only bars that are big enough and can hold an extra machine are allowed in this draw. We will discuss at next committee meeting which bars we believe are capable to hold such a big venue. In case we have forgotten to mention something today we will do this during next meeting. To have a venue or a meeting in your bar you have to be present at the meeting where the draw takes place.
