3^rd Captains Meeting Wild Bull Darts League 2009-2010

                                  All Trophies of the season 2009-2010 are sponsored by   

►Darts results are coming in on time. Except the ones from yesterday there are two results missing (Meercats – Cosy Corner and Piglets – Clansman) and Exiles cancelled their game at the very last minute against Barracuda. Barracuda can claim 8-0. If they don’t the match has to be played within 4 weeks. 

All cancelled matches have been played except the match Manneke Pis – Piglets (19/07) and Barracuda-Exiles. 

The website has been updated as far as I could. Fixtures, results Lee Nolan Cup (except Our Place), minutes of the meetings and all the pictures of the Presentation Night are on. More pictures from players, league matches will be put on very soon.If you take pictures during the matches I will publish them as well. 

Sponsorship: different than what I’ve told you during the 1^st meeting a deposit of 500€ has already been paid by

Motorworld. Graham and I visited the most of the bars to find out if Graham would be allowed to hang up a business poster, by way of compensation of his sponsorship, in your bar, 17 of 20 bars agreed. This was for Graham enough reason to give already a deposit for the Trophies. Posters are meant to stay in your bar at least until the end of the season and longer if Motorworld decides to sponsor again next year.

All the machines (except Barracuda & Target) are provided with a sticker from Motorworld.

► Committee’s decisions during last meeting on 5^th August:

For the Lee Nolan Cup we had a total of 95 entries but 50% didn’t show up, the most of them even without warning. People at the venues were waiting for nothing.For not having this same problem again in the future we decided to start to charge again 5€ per person. Also we decided to not accept more people than the one registered at the meetings.

In case you show up at the venue to play your game you will get your money back on the day of the competition. If you don’t show up you will lose your money and it will go into the league fund. Further we will do no changes anymore in the draw. If for reason of transport you are unable to go to the venue we will try to find a solution to get you at your venue.  

Johny - Pig i/t Dip asked "if a player doesn't show up at the venue wouldn't it be possible to give the registration fee of this player to the bar instead of the league fund?". After some discussion a vote took place. Only 4 people were against, all the rest was in favor of this request. From now on the money will stay in the bar. 

► Singles Competition this Sunday 16^th of August – 4PM 

Ladies and men are in a separate competition, at least 8 female players are required.  

A number of venues will be drawn following the entries. The final of each venue will be played on the day. The winner of the final of each venue will play the real final on the Finals Day at Camping Nauta. 

For the Ladies Singles was drawn Bar Pig i/t Dip, 10 ladies are registered

For the Men Singles was drawn Bar Cosy Corner (18 players) and Toscales (17 players)

► Next Captains meeting September 14^th – 6.30 PM in bar Restaurante El Rinconcito 

We will draw the Doubles Competitions (Men and Ladies separate). To have a venue or a meeting in your bar you have to be present at the meeting where the draw takes place.
