5th Captains Meeting Wild Bull Darts League 2009-2010 Clansman – 12th October – 6.30PM

► During the committee meeting last week a few things were discussed: - There was a discussion between El Sol B and Manneke Pis when the 3rd dart hit the board and one of the two other darts fell out of the board. Different opinions were said by the 2 teams. I looked on the internet and we discussed it at the committee meeting, this is the rule. Every dart falling out of the board does not count. Only the darts that stick in the board at the time the player takes them out count. - During this same match another problem occurred in the trebles games.This is a rule that already exists for about 3 years: Every player playing in the singles and doubles is obliged to play in the trebles. This is an old rule we introduced to avoid that teams would use only their best players in the trebles. - Problems happened at the Doubles KO between Suters and Cosy Wanderers.It’s too complicated to explain this in writing and it’s not to me to tell who was right or wrong because I wasn’t there, but this is the rule for what happened: If the machine scores wrong a correct score is needed. However, if the correct score hasn’t been done (on purpose or not) and the player has taken his darts out of the board it is too late to make any discussion about the incorrect score. It is as well to the player who is throwing the darts as his opponent to check the score and ask to check the score if needed. Especially when a double finish is near it is wisely to correct the score straight away, even after the first or second dart is thrown, you’ll avoid mistakes and unnecessary discussions. ► Meer Cats (Euro Bar) didn’t show up at Flemish Lions yesterday. They didn’t inform anybody and were unreachable when Flemish Lions tried to contact them. They lose with 8-0.Meer Cats lost their match against Manneke Pis (23/8) with 8-0. Meer Cats didn’t do the effort to rearrange the match. ► There are the still open matches or missing results. If the matches in red haven’t been played yet the team who cancelled the match will lose with 8-0.It would also be nice to still play the open friendly matches against Les Gavines. 1st Division: El Sol A – Cosy Wanderers (27/09) Barracuda – Toscales (04/10) 2nd Division Meer Cats – El Sol B (30/08) (2-6 but I haven’t got the details) Euromeat Piglets – Flemish Lions (06/09) 3rd Division Les Gavines – Killie Pies (23/08) – friendly match Whippys – Les Gavines (06/09) – friendly match Rinconcito – Globe Bar B (06/09) Yesterday’s results Missing! Suters – Cosy Wanderers Pig i/t Dip`- Nauta Les Gavines – Trapdoor B – friendly Killie Pies – Whippys (I only received 3-5 without any details) Rinconcito - Chipeque I still haven’t received the sheets from Lee Nolan Cup – Our Place and Doubles KO – Exiles! ► League fund: Previous Balance: 3343.40 New Dartboard: -75.00€ New Balance: 3268.40€ ► Trebles Competition this Sunday 18th of October 2009 – 4PM A number of venues will be drawn following the entries. To have a Competition in your bar you have to be present at the meeting where the draw takes place and have at least 1 player registered for said Competition. Men and women together. Every player pays 5€ to enter, this will be refunded at the venue in case of presence. If a player is not present at the venue his 5€ will go to the bar. 14 teams of 3 players got registered, 2 venues of 7 teams were drawn: Suters and Globe bar. Don’t forget! Each round = New draw ► Next Captains meeting November 9th – 6.30 PM in bar Chipeque We will discuss and draw the Cricket Competitions and the Motorworld Cup.
