► During the committee meeting last week a few things were discussed:

We decided how to play the Motorworld Cup (see below) and we had a big discussion about the match Exiles – Suters. You can read the short story what happened but we will not go deeper into it unless Hugh still has something to say.

A few days before the match Exiles – Suters (last week) I got a phone call from Hugh to ask the permission to have Joe and Sam (they quit Cosy Corner) playing for Exiles. Hugh said that it was impossible to complete his team for the following Sundays. He had only Calum and himself as player.

Although the rule says that after half way season you can not swap from team anymore and after some discussion with Ian, Johnny and Luc we decided to help Hugh anyway and agreed with his request if Cosy Corner would agree with it. At first Cosy didn’t agree but at the end they did so Joe played with Exiles against Suters.

On Sunday the day of the match also Joe asked every player of Suters if it would be a problem him playing for Exiles, everybody agreed. The next day I received a phone call from Kiko (captain of Suters), who was not at the match, telling that he was completely disagreeing with what the committee decided, the more because Exiles had enough players (4 without Joe) and Joe should never have been playing.

A few days later, after a big discussion at the committee meeting, we decided to give the points that Joe won to Suters. Than the next day Hugh called me saying that he wasn’t very happy with what we had done.

Johnny and I decided to go and talk to Suters and try to find out what really happened, we talked with Gillian and Joe.

After another discussion for about an hour we decided to stick with our decision that we made before at the meeting because:

- Hugh should never have used Joe while he had 4 players

- Hugh pulled himself out of the match and let somebody else play (he should have pulled Joe out)

- The team captain of Suters Kiko never agreed, he was not contacted on the day. Joe asked every player of Suters but didn’t ask the captain who wasn’t there. Also Antonio wasn’t really happy with Joe playing against his team.

Suters got the 2 points that Joe won.

After the meeting the committee sat at the table with Suters and Exiles to discuss this and sort this out once and far all. Everybody agreed to take Joe's points out that he won, which would give them a final score of 3-3.

► Meer Cats quit the league. From half way season on all point won against them are deducted in the rankings.

► There are the still open matches and missing or incomplete results. The matches have to be played latest on 29th

November. If the matches in red haven’t been played yet the team who cancelled the match will lose with 8-0.

► Doubles Killer Cricket Competition this Sunday 15th of October 2009 – 4PM

Same as last season we will play Killer Cricket but a bit different to make it more tactical. Instead of 1 team (= 2 players) on 1 score display we will play each player individual on a score display. The team who wins closest to the bull will play on position 1 and 3, the other team on position 2 and 4. A team wins if one of the 2 players finishes or has the lowest score after 20 rounds.

A number of venues will be drawn following the entries.

To have a Competition in your bar you have to be present at the meeting where the draw takes place and have at least 1 team registered.

Women can go in a separate comp. if there are at least 8 teams registered.

Every player pays 5€ to enter, this will be refunded at the venue in case of presence. If a player is not present at the venue his 5€ will go to the bar.

Don’t forget! Each round = New draw 2

2 players = 11 teams got registered, 1 venue was drawn: El Rinconcito – Los Abrigos

► Next Captains meeting November 30th – 6.30 PM at Camping Nauta

We will discuss and draw the Team Handicap Cup, the Motorworld Cup and the Finals.

To have the next meeting in your bar you have to be present at the meeting where the draw takes place.

Team Handicap Cup: VERY IMPORTANT! Every match has to be played latest on the 29th of November. Your final ranking in the league will decide your handicap points.

Motorworld Cup: Blind Doubles KO Comp. with losers round (=Spanish system)

                              301 Double IN/Double OUT best of 3.

All the losers have another change to win in the losers round. Once a player has lost in the losers round the comp. is over for him.

The winner of the loser’s round will play against the winner of the winner’s round but needs 3 winning legs. The winner of the winner’s round only needs 2 winning legs.
