► Due I was away until yesterday we didn’t have the time for a committee meeting until this afternoon. A few things were only discussed this afternoon and are not in these minutes. Every result has been received and updated on the website. A few postponed games were cancelled again! It’s hard to believe that this still happens knowing we’ve especially introduced a few free Sundays to give you the opportunity to catch up your postponed matches. ► League fund: Previous Balance: 3118.40€ New Dartboards: -300.00€ New Balance: 2818.40€ ► Team Handicap Competition 6th December 2009 - 3PM
Teams of the 3 division will play together with handicap points. This will give the less good teams the opportunity to play a more competitive match against better teams or maybe to beat a better team. Because we play as on a normal Sunday (except for handicap points and earlier time) we expect every team to join this competition. How we will play it this year, was discussed at the committee meeting this afternoon. At the beginning of the season we drew already 4 venues for this Handicap KO to give everybody more change to get a competition in his bar and also because we expected that more teams would join this event. Last years’ Handicap Competitions were too big and to boring for some teams. The drawn venues are: Flemish Lions, Whippys, Target, Trapdoor. Don’t forget, the winner wins a free entry for next darts season and the Team Handicap Trophy during the whole next season. At each venue will be played until there is 1 winner left. This gives us 4 winners who will play again in the semi-finals on the finals day. “Because Whippys didn’t put in their team today they don’t have the right to get the Handicap Comp. in their bar and because the Team Handicap was everything but a success (only 14 teams got registered!), we’ve decided that Target and Trapdoor will get the Team Handicap event (they were both present at the meeting), 7 teams in each bar, and Flemish Lions would get the Motorworld Cup. Further, we have decided during the committee meeting that there will be a Team Handicap Trophy for the 2nd place. This trophy will also stay in the bar until the end of the season. The team that ended 2nd will of course not get a free entry for next darts season.We also decided to do the Team Handicap Cup slightly different than last season: between each team there will only be -10 handicap points difference, starting with the highest team of the league at 0 handicap points, 2nd team -10pnts, 3rd -20pnts, etc. The 3 highest teams of div.2 will get the same handicap score as the 3 lowest teams of div.1 and the 3 highest teams from div 3 will get the same handicap score as the 3 lowest teams from div.2. Also we decided to play the team game as 701 instead of 1001 (in case of a draw in the singles and doubles) with the same handicap score as the 501 games.Every registered team will pay 20€ as deposit, this will be refunded on the day if they are present at the venue. If the are not, their 20€ will stay for the bar ” ► Motorworld Cup 13th December 2009 - 4PM
We play Blind Doubles KO with losers round (=Spanish system) - 301 Double IN/Double OUT best of 3 legs. The losing teams of the 1st round have another change to win in the losers round. Once a team has lost in the losers round the competition is finished for this team. The final winning team of the loser’s round will play again against the winning team of the winner’s round but needs 3 winning legs. The winning team of the winner’s round only needs 2 winning legs. Because it’s a Blind Date KO you don’t know your partner till the day. If a player didn’t inform us being later than 4.15 he/she will be disqualified and will lose the entry fee. Teams will be drawn latest 4.15PM. This should be a nice competition, especially because the Spanish system and your unknown partner. Therefore try to get as many players as possible registered. No more entries are accepted after this meeting. Every player pays 5€ to enter, this will be refunded at the venue in case of presence. If a player is not present at the venue his 5€ will go to the bar. A number of venues will be drawn following the number of entries. To have a Competition in your bar you have to be present at the meeting where the draw takes place and have at least 1 team registered. Don’t forget! Each round = New draw “32 players got registered, 1 more venue got drawn to have 2 venues. Flemish Lions was already selected for the Motorworld Cup because they were not being chosen for the Team Handicap. The other venue that was drawn was Manneke Pis. At the beginning of this season we all agreed the finals should be played at 1 big venue, Camping Nauta. Two extra machines will be installed for this big event. Food will be put on for the players. Unless somebody objects this Presentation Night will be hold again at Camping Nauta. Players and wives/husbands are invited for a warm buffet. Friends and family are very welcome too, they pay 5€ per person. Everybody has to be registered before 4th January 2010. “About the presentation night we can tell that the league is not doing any tournament in the afternoon. We would like to have only our Presentation Night with some entertainment and no darts”. Presentation Night 7PM Food 8PM. Every player and his wife/husband will get a food ticket on the day. Names have to be registered and given to the committee before the 4th of January. Family and friends are very welcome too. They will pay 5€ per person. Players will also receive free drink tickets on the day and teams will get a small compensation for their transport (same as last year). ► Next Captains meeting: 18th January 2010 - 6.30PM at Trapdoor This is the first meeting of the season. Every team has to be registered and registration fees have to be paid latest at this meeting: new teams pay 100€, old teams 50€. Registration forms will be given to every bar/team and have to be filled in and handed over at this meeting. Depending of the numbers of teams we will decide whether we keep 3 divisions or go back to 2 divisions. Start of the new season 31 January 2010 ► Questions or remarks
